I initially went to Cairns in search of winter wind for testing gear and hopefully making a new kite video... That idea got turned upside down when I went kiting a few times and realised that the wind was totally cooked. It was so gusty most of the time that it made doing tricks behind the kite about as easy as wakeboarding behind a boat with the driver having a seizure at the wheel. Luckily Cairns has a great cable park and I ended up hitting that up with Adelaide local Will Smallcombe for most of the trip.

Cheers fellas! Love me a bit of heckling! I tried to get them to slow the cable a bit more Greenleader but they wouldn't have a bar of it .

The kiteboard is a new prototype I'm working on with Adrian from Axis kiteboarding (around 141 x 43cm). Lets just say this thing is going to be pretty sick when it's finished, I'm already pretty excited about it .

The wakeboard is the 139cm 2013 LF Deluxe hybrid. I probably could have rode the 143cm but it's a hard board to come by! haha.

Boots are the 2011 cells. Although they appear old they are actually quite new, I've had 3 different pairs of them . Hopefully I can get some fresh Code 55s (the new cell) sometime soon.

p.s.
I'm surprised no-one commented on my music choices to be honest... open for heckling .

Oh sick, glad it annoyed at least one person then .

Kickers aren't to hard in theory, just go at them with speed and bear off downwind at the last second (like half a meter before the wave) this helps you get slack in the lines. Really though it's just trial and error, because different conditions call for a slightly different approach.

Sometimes I do work, although I'm not entirely sure when or how much.
