Going at the end of Sept - worth bringing the kites (10 and 6m) and surfboard / twinnie?

Any no-go areas with birdlife / wildlife?

Lake Albert / Lagoon / Ocean?

Any first-hand advice much appreciated. PM me if you want to keep it quiet.
