Has anyone kited Coral Bay at Mauds landing or further north I'm relatively new to kiting but know Coral Bay very well. I know the breeze blows hard but any safety advice would be great.

I kited there in July and it was sick, I kited Mauds Point and the shark sactuary in Coral Bay. Apparently in summer the sharkies come into the sanctuary to nurse the little tackers tho.

i.ve scuba dived at the nursery white tipped reef sharks awesome. At Mauds does the SW blow slightly onshore or is it offshore thats what wories me most with my limited experience.

All depends on which side you kite. The southern side is almost straight onshore but on the tip there is about 100m of sideshore beach before it wraps around to the north and goes offshore. If the sharks arent in the sanctuary i would kite there as its way closer. There is a nice wide beach and a little point and the water is below waist deep, good for cruising but be careful going big.
