Hi Just been looking at the crazy fly web page. boards look pretty good, i like the carbon fibre and graphics. foot pads look solid. Has anyone ridden them? looking for some feedback. I only ride flat water but would like to try in waves if i got he chance.

I have a 2005, 128 which is nice in waves, but sweeter on flat water.
Foot pads very comfy. I love this board.
So yeah - I rate them.

I would say this is probably one of the most "real" posts i have ever made lol.
I have tested the 06, 07 twin tip range and as said above i feel it had alot of flex, considerably to much for my liking, however i ride in the waves and do my tricks usually comming off the back of a wave and landing in the flats so i do feel that some flex in a board is a positive but, when landing with these boards powered and kite low it just seemed to "flex out" on landing and buck you off, it was very strange. even just on half arsed 3s and 5s it would just seem to throw you off, its like it flexes to much and then just ditches you. I also tested the kite skim and felt it wasnt really a great board ethier, to much "kite" in the skim part i think, regular skimmers seemed to go better, alot better up wind as well.
Thats my unbiased 2 cents anyway.

The very 1st board I ever rode was the 2005 crazy fly. It was super felxy! I'm cueently riding the 2007 127 x 40 crazy fly pro. The board still has a fair bit of flex but is no where near as flexy as the old boards. I find the "07 crazy fly to be very responsive with heaps of kick off the water once you learn to time the pop.
I love this board when fully lit, holds down heaps of power and allows me to land big old school jumps without too much stress on the knees. ride it both on the flat and in waves, and i like it in both, I have not experienced the "flex out" or "buck off" described by sir rowdy. I can't however do "half arsed 3s or 5s" and prefer to try and ride my surfboard in waves, just not good at it yet!
if you are interested i'm selling my 130 crazy fly, hardly ridden, www.seabreeze.com.au/Members/Classifieds/Item.aspx?id=deb5fad1-8e25-4f14-8944-79fc0979b596 just PM me if you want some pics. sorry for the blatant pimp
I'm keeping the 127 and stand by my review. I really love riding these boards and reckon they rock, especiallly for flat water riding with heaps of wind.

I have the 07 pro in the 148 by 44 for light winds. It is very nice. They have improved the strength and redid the footpads. It has a slight rocker and so far I have ridden it about 7 days and it eats up the chop really well. I have not been in any waves with it so can not tell you about that. Only downside I have found is that the strap pad can be completely removed if you unfasten the velcro. Well when in the water I had the velcro at its widest so I could accomodate surf booties. The straps came undone in the water on a wipeout and the strap pad that goes over your foot slid off and disapeared. Luckily the rep in the area gave me a new one but I can see it happening again pretty easily. Will have to figre a way to permenently fasten on one side or the other.

Overall the board is great.

thanks everyone for their feedback. Just picked up an '07 crazy fly pro, 132. sweet looking board, and the flex was cool. Not too flexy, smoothed out the chop, still fast and easy pop and landings. I'm excited like only new kit can make you. Now just need more wind and more time to enjoy my new toy.
thanks team
