I'm thinking about getting a new kite pritty soon for summer, and I'm trying to work out whether it is worth me going out and buying a new xbow, or just getting a much cheaper used crossbow? Any new improvements made on the 07 model? Will the xbow still be able to maintain the big grunty boosts that the fuel offers? I'm new to bow kites, so I'm not sure how they will perform.

Hey there Justin, I have just swapped my fuels for a nine xbow 2.

I am also new to bows and have only flown the new kite twice so cant offer too much. The most relevant innovation on the new bow is the one pump, as a fuel rider that is a must have so look to the xbow 2.

The kite flies beautifully, a bit slower to initate turns than i am used to but nontheless still very quick. It has loads and loads of grunt. Theoverall finish of the kite is vey high. Also try the link, I had a quick go on that and it was awesome.

Ohh you forgot to mention that xbows look fantastic when they fly inside out, struts to the top, canopy to the bottom.

Hey Justin

Try the Waroo before you make a decision. I have both and reckon the Waroo is great value.

My bow inverted when doing a downwinder in waves. A set came through and snapped my lines. I here the new Link is a good kite that is a combo between a C and a bow.

Hey Guys,

Have a look at the Airush Flow Hybrid too, we had an awesome session on it yesterday. Great kite with no bad habits.

Good winds,

Back to the topic........

I just bought a 9m cross bow (used) and a board for $1800 rather than $2000 for an xbow......
the old crossbows are really good value for this season, sure the new xbows are good and the link is an ok kite (yes I have ridden one)but for double the price for 5% better performance Im yet to be convinced
