Does anyone make their own pigtails, loops, pulley lines etc? Mine are worn and it's about time to replace them.

It seems simple enough provided I use the correct materials. eg spectra line, synthetic sail makers thread etc, Is their a web site which describes this sort of stuff?

Maybe everyone buys from the shops or online. I like to DIY some of my gear.

kitesuffer has helped me in the past with this sort of thing. He's a bit of a macgyver when it comes to "improving" kites.

if oyu drop him a pm i'm sure he could give you some examples.

Whats the kite?
Sometimes replacements are too easy and cheap.

We do sell spliceable 3-4mm rope suitable for leaders, you just need a large darning needle, or fuse wire, or "fids" to do the splice and then some "whipping twine" to finish it off.
Do a google for splicing.

Thanks for the advice. I fly Slingshot Links.
4 for kite
4 for lines
2 for briddles
4 pulley lines
Multiply by 3 kites = 42 @ $5+ each = $210+

Steve, Do you have the rope at the Geelong store? I will probably go to Pt Henry during this week and call in on the way through.
