Any idea if the wind is on if Darwin is possible to kite at. Are salties a problem on the beaches this time of year or should I give it a swerve.

i left the nt in 1995 but i used to windsurf at casuarina beach . this is the time of the year when the wind is at its best the dry season is also known as the windy season and you don't have to worry about stingers . as far as crocs go i never saw one i think the tiger sharks ate them you could also try nightcliffe beach depending on wind direction although i think rigging and launching could be a problem there

i just got to Darwin on Friday (22nd July) and am here till mon and the weather hasn't been that good for kiting. Had one or two days that were kiteable but i have been sick with a throat infection. I have my 14 and 10 here but due to my chicken loop snaping when i was in Mackay, i can't get out anyway.

Let us know how u go though.

was in darwin yesterday, se so I went to midil beach I think, just for a look. Next time I'm there if there's a nw or sw I think it would be quite ok.
