Yep, they arrived yesterday. Geelong will have a 12M CB3 demo tomorrow, and Sans Souci has 9M and 12M CB3 and a 14M Contra 3 for demo now.

I've unpacked one and blown it up.

Changes I've noticed so far.

1. Slightly different bridle set up. Only single pully on the kite bridle now, but the other pully is right at the kite. How this new set up changes the flying will be important.

2. New colours, I got a white one.

3. Sleaves over the strut connecting valves.

4. New bag but not much change. Bag for the bar is definately cheaper, no zips, just pop the bar in the bag.

5. Apparantly Cab. has used a new fabric which should make the kite more robust...but could not see any difference.

Need some wind to give it a go now. This is my light wind kite.

If it is 10% better than last years model that would be good.

Cab. should use the spinning chicken loop as standard with this kite...the chicken loop in my pack was the non-spinning one.

Yeah just contact the aGeelong store about demos, they will have the kite by then for sure though.

Meerkat, absolutely, hopefully other riders who test will post their views as well.

Steve,

you guys should be out on the 9 now. Kurnell looks like it's copping 30+ kts WNW. That should give you something to report on.

Col has seen this thread already and while I was out doing some errands he has come in and stolen the 9M CB3 and a 12M Ion2
I think even Col will keep the Ion in the Car!!!

Reports later.

I am heading over to Kurnell now. I'll see if it's still in one piece.

Strange that Cabrinha haven't put anything on their website yet - maybe still time to 'tweak' before full on production ?

Gruezi - did you sell your 12mtr CB2 ?

Nah. No tweaking....
The cabrinha catalogue has been out for a couple of months.
Got the SB3,CB3,the omega2 (I think) and a dedicated wave kite.

All C-kites.....

Why the gloom Greuzi ? ... you'll be replacing it with a 10% better kite anyway ... looks like I will be now too...

Paulio - is the Revolver the new 'wave' kite I've been hearing about ?

Yes, I never got to ride it but the guys that did had some positive remarks.

As for which kite I'd ride?? Spose a S/B for a while till the C/B comes out.

I guess Il have to wait for demos to arrive in QLD then just dont return them

Yeah, went well, *ucking windy! Of course it dropped out once I got wet, only had a few wobbly and gusty runs before it dropped to sub 15 knots, with the occassional bullet of 20+
Col got the best of it, he had a couple of hours out there, wind got up to 40+ during that time, he has put a review up just now.
Will post some pics and video soon, just sussing the video camera software and doing some work too.
