I normally ride a 04 12m Flow but also have a 04 12m Lift which I bought to ride in stronger wind as per its rating (15-25knts).

I've only had the Lift up in 15 - 20 knts and can't imagine running it in 25 knts.

Has anyone with a 04 Lift experimented with line placement at the kite and what is the upper wind strength you are using this kite in?

upper limit will depend on your weight experience and conditions
lot easier to hold down power in smooth water
had 03 11.5 lift, 85kg, wouldn't even think of taking it out in 25kn
can hold it down but choofing around on the back foot and no margin for error
can mange the occasional gust at that strength but no fun imho
will ride 13m yarga to low 20s, then its a 10m v4
8m in 25+ kn, plenty of go, lots of fun but i'm not keen on overpowered riding as a rule, especially in the surf

I have 02, 11.2 Lift and have run it close to 30 knots. Weigh 78KG and run it on 25M lines with 130 board. Can say if your taking the kite beyond 25 you're pushing it! Full summer seabreeze, constant as. I wouldn't recommend it if it's at all gusty. Shorter lines a cheap option to extend the upper range of your kite if you run a one kite quiver.

WEST SIDE MASSIVE, AIIIIGGGHHT.

I had a 12m lift last season and can honestly say that the top end and overall windrange was awesome. I could hold down 25 knts pretty easily and even when it was gusting over 30 it wasn't too scary.
I'm about 78kg and big Dr louie who is 15-20kg heavier than me was amazed how comfortable i was when he was struggling (overpowered)on his 9m 2003 fuel. I played around with different settings but found it flew best with the knots even no matter how strong or weak the wind was. Only thing i didn't like about it was the hangtime.I've heard the 14m was better.

I had a 12m Lift Last season and was able to hold it comfortably till 30 knots (I weigh 90kg on a switch 135). The kite was awewsome, I went higher on it than any other kite I've owned.
