Whats the difference between waroo and waroo pro

about $500, plus I think the pro gets a nicer bag!
Seriously though they advertise the pro as being surf tough, so you could take this to mean that the waroo is not well constructed and isn't likely to stand up to a couple of beatings in the surf. It wouldnt make me feel to confident about parting with $1500 for one!.

its more expensive coz they have to recoup all the time and effort they put into cuben fibre.
Im pretty sure the pro has two small panels of the stuff on it. giving added strength & stiffness.
waste of money i reckon. Best should just cut their loses with that stuff- just go the waroo.

robbo - you reckon the cuben on that kite is worth $500? I'd guess its worth less than $50 over the cost of regular dacron. The kite costs more because their marketing people have told them there are people who will pay more for a kite than a waroo if their reassured that its something "special". Cuben makes it "special" even if it doesn't appear to have any significant performance advantage. If I'm not mistaken (and I may be), the cuben fiber cloth they use is actually heavier than the alternative dacron. Its hype and marketing.

Well, apparently, I heard that, maybe, etc etc,
If you have two kites, a 12m waroo and an 13m waroo pro, (they make them in different sizes) you will find that the LE on the pro is much smaller and can be pumped to a much higher pressure to maintain the structural strength of the LE. That is the you beaut cuben fibre is in the LE, allowing a smaller diameter strut for the same structural properties which gives less drag and better performance, apparently....
