Different bar onw size kite

Could someone please explain to a newbe, if you use a sorter bar on a kite than intended what can one expect from the feel and control?

Hey man, nah makes no difference except with a smaller bar you will need more user input to turn the kite, I reckon that's a lot better, I use a 45cm bar on all my kites, even the 14

sorter bar = shorter bar kite less responsive kite dependant
bigger bar = more sesponsive, kite dependant....

i.e 12m kite with a 17" bar and 23metre lines in 15knots less responsive kite hard to fly in a figure 8,
7m kite with 20" bar and 20metre lines in 30knots..... gonna see your ass very quickly .....

Right!
The kite is still as fast, you would just need to input the bar more. This means you are less likely to unwantedly fly the kite without you knowing it. It will give you more control and feedback. Thats also why an experienced rider doest hold his bar at the ends.

Interesting ... so for a beginner a shorter bar should in theory be a better choice to start with?
