I thought i should add a tip for riding at Dicko in a southerly .SSW wind is the best it is more cross shore and is similar to riding Nobby in NE .As it goes around to the S and then the SE the wind generally drops as well and holding ground and going upwind becomes more difficult plus the swell is pushing you right onto the beach .You might think that there is plenty of room between you and grief and suddenly your on it.Don't try to hold your ground and try and sneak just upwind of the flags .it generally won't work ,stay well outside and go in downwind of the flags and walk back up .All will be much happier
