Hey All

I was wondering if anyone knew how to clean kites? I recently bought an airush, most of which is white. And its now looking a little dirty, are there any products or methods I could use to bring it back to its nice crisp white looking self??

Chuck it in the washing machine with some bleach and starch; that ought to do the trick. Bleach will bring back the colour and starch will add some crispness

Don't bother using any chemicals on your kite, the risk of damaging it is too high. I wouldn't (and never did) wash mine in chlorinated water either. I found clean ocean and sand are not a problem.....

Mild detergent and a big sponge. What ever you do don't pack it up wet with fresh water on it. You'll get mold growing and that's impossible to shift.

Try some strong acid, or maybe petrol...

A kite, like a good woman, can be ridden clean or dirty
The choice is yours....

Mild soapy water, a soft cloth, rinse then air dry will work for either
