I'm now in Morocco. The wind is super strong. Most kites on the water are 6s and 8s. The water in Essauira is super flat. Unforunately it's not nice and warm. It's probably similar to the water in Sydney. Something around 21-24 degrees. So most people are out on wet suits (short and long). The difference to Sydney is that the air temp is very hot, which makes the water appear even cooler.
The main beach in Essauira isn't that beautiful and the part closer to town is packed with beachgoers, but there is plenty of space to launch kites and kite. For those loving a kite buggy ride or using a land board, the beach is perfect. It's wide and super flat. The sand is quite hard...
