Michael: serious, dubai sucks. there is hardly no wind and they gonna close loads of beaches for 5 star + hotels. It's really a shame. You stil can kite on the jumeirah beach, called wollongong beach. Sometimes we are lucky when the shamal is blowing and we can get up to 25 kts. but most of the time we have to struggle with max 16 kts (booring to use big kites). but now the season in oman starts. it's a great country and you can reach the best spot (aseelah) with nice waves in 6.5h by car. it's a long way but really worth! another but further way is massirah island with even more wind and higher waves. unfortunately there is nothing around so you'll be there just for kiting....
Kenta: dubai is sick!!!! it's the fasted growing city in the world. so you can imagine what's going on. yeap, NO TAXES...I think that's the only reason why I'm still there. during your winter you'll have the season in oman (see above) and every weekend you'll find some kiters from dubai heading there. by the way, there are many people from oz here in dubai. you see, I loved perth - maybe we can swap????
