UPDATE:
Lucky me (sort of) I scored some crankin wind at Yalls on Sunday.
At 1st look Yalls looked a bit full on with 'holey' wind on the beach and a thick neck breaker dumping real heavy in the shallows. I decided to check out Lefties and was tempted to go out but by the time i got down to the shore the place was ferral as fk!
It was like a steriod fueled washing machine out there and not a witness in sight. My Darwinesque survival voice kept saying "don't go mate" so as I am getting wiser in my old years I listened, took all my gear back to the car and drove around some more.
After waisting an hour driving around I ended up back at Yalls. The shorebreak had lightened up a bit and the wind had picked up so out on my old 9m C I went. Well that is after having all sorts of dramas just gettin off the beach!! The wind was "filled in" in the bay but right on the water line there were holes to drive a Mack through... After much hassle and embarressment I eventually got past the break but still didn't find clean air until about 70-100m out.
At 1st I was cursing my choice of 9m (I am usually cautious) then it just went
crank and i was in the sweet zone nicely powered, rockin upwind and doing monster jumps off the abliging Yall ramps. Sooo sweeeeet maaaate.

Only me, one other kiter and 2 polleys having a blast for an hour or so. Had the 1st truly great sesion in a month. But then just as I had been warned I felt the wind dropping as I headed back out from a run. I thought ok I'll finish this run and head in... too late the wind literally just switched off!!! My kite fell out of the sky and there am I in around the break and not even fart velocity wind. Belive what you hear about the wind in these parts it is on/off just like that. Weird.
Through the miracle that is 5th line I managed to eek the kite into the air and do kamikaze dives/loops through the power zone to get most of the way back in before the kite ditched into the shallows... had to throw my bar away as the kite caught a little wave and ended up with my kite in a shockin mess (but still no real damage) and my lines caught around reef/rocks!! This was a major hassle to get free of and left the whole set-up in a state I haven't seen since my 1st season... what a hassle.
Later in the carpark I spoke to one of the poley who had the same thing happen, and got caught out when the wind died, but the poor sod got tumbled in the shorebreak snapping his mast etc!!

All up Yalls is not for the feint hearted (or 1 kite quiver) rider. The outside section is awesome but the getting in and out may well outway the ride.
For me I still had a wicked time but then I haven't tackled my lines yet... and If I hadn't have been so deprived lately it might all have been too much.
Still had an awesome sesh though... he he yeh was worth it.
