My front foot keeps slipping forward on my Axis new wave and I end up doing the splits when I land an air and it kills the next day.

I've tried scrubbing the deck but it doesn't seem to have done much.

Any suggestions on what I can do or use to scrub the deck?

ah!! its useless now, get a new one and send me the old one.. I don't do jumps so I will be fine .

Or you can keep doing splits and now you have a party trick.

Bit of surfboard wax for a short term fix, I can't see anything that would fix it permanently.

Wouldn't sand paper stuff up the grip or would you just do it lightly? I'll give wax a go and see if it works.

I can second the wax method..... Works very well
When I lived in port Melb I found that the water ( or could have been the sand in the bottom )seemed oily and the grip became slippery. Only seemed to happen in port Melb and st kilda

We've sanded grip for years. I've sen the guys that make the stuff use everything from sandpaper to fine wire brushes. I just sand light lines 90 degrees to your feet with 80 grit. Not sure of the quality on your board traction (There is a cheap molded more lightweight foam), but just try a small section by hand first. just be careful you don't tear the edges. I've heard of pro surfers waxing grip and their feet. The short term of this is ok, but old wax is slippery as. Let us know how it lasts long term on grip.

I like to use a tail pad as a front pad (reversed of course!), so the kicker stops my foot sliding forward.
