I am considering purchasing an Eclipse Nano, as I have heard excellent things about them. My main concern is re-sale value. Has anyone ever tried selling one on seabreeze before? Did they get a decent price for theirs?
Reason I ask, is knowing me I will want another kite next season, and I don't want to loose a great deal for it (obviously a bit is acceptable). I usually buy well known brands (switchblade, slingshot etc.) that I know I can sell pretty easily. Using this method I have always sold the kites for pretty much exactly what I bought them for. Actually, I've been kiting for less than two years and have now purchased 8 second hand kites, haha.
Also, I have never test tried one, and I haven't seen one out in Sydney so don't have the opportunity to test fly one. I also might hate it straight off the bat.
What is the jumping like? Does 3 struts make it a bit crappy? I think this year I will start to go out in waves more, but I think 50% of my time will be on flat water.
If you want to jump the Thruster is the one out of the Eclipse range, the Nano's are more than acceptable when it comes to jumps but ease of use, relaunch, stability, wind range, drift, waveriding etc is what the Nano is about.
kites genreally lose about 40% of their value in the first year. you can't expect to buy new and sell after one season for the same price, if you bought retail.
