but will it bring back the northerly winds on the east coast , wide bay or sunshine coast . WE NEED IT Please .

bring it on. hopefully will will see 4-5 20 knot plus ne'rs evey week this summer like it was last el nino.

Without doubt this is the worst winter for winds in the last few years, so it could be a sign that were in for a nuclear summer wind season , 4 hr afternoon boosting sessions with a icy cold beer watching the sun go down, totally shagged but loving every second of it, bring it on

Theory is El Nino means weaker if not no hot summer currents south from Indonesia = colder offshore temps off WA = wind. The hot offshore temps of the past two summers, in particular two year's ago, are thought to be associated with the opposite La Nina event.
