Hi I kited there on a South East before and thinking on going up for few days camping. Just wondering if anyone kited there on Nly winds or does just work in SEly? Is very tide depending or not really? I kited in that little lagoon on high tide once was pretty fun :-)

Hey there - im from Sydney and my brothers live in Bundy. Do get in touch with the guys up there - they are really cool and super friendly. Best to have a chat with them with a few beers in tow - i hate to say this, Elliot heads is awesome to kite.
im heading to Hong Kong next week and will be reaching out to kiters over there - getting in touch with the locals makes all the difference, especially if things go wrong :(
Enjoy your kiting and grab an esky for your beers!
Cheers
Adrian

There is an excellent spot at Burnett Heads (about 10 k north of Bargara) on a Northerly. No good at low tide.

Elliot can be kited in almost any direction. There is such a wide area that once you're away from the beach a bit you can work your way to a wind-suitable spot. You can start off around at the bend to the right as you hit the beach, or even walk out to the river mouth and start off in the surf. Google Earth is a great tool for working out where's kiteable when.
