we have been taking kiter groups to Fiji since 2004 and always go the last half of August which we rekon is the peak of the Trade wind season.

I always have a chuckle if we turn up at the base of the trade wind 9 day cycle in the 2-3 days of 10-15 kts. the Fiji newbies are all freaking out and want to get on the water but of course nor enough wind. We are chilled and keep saying "relax, rest build up your energy reserves.

Sure enough it kicks in and a few days later they are praying for a light wind day to have a rest.
