Hey you guys, my girl and I are looking for a week or 2 kitesurfing in Fiji. I am an advanced k.s but there are so many resorts to look at. Any body out there had a non -formal k.s. holiday over there as they appear to be much cheaper than the organised k.s. holidays or is it dangerous without support boats etc. Gordo.
The latest edition of KB Mag ( received it in the mail yesterday) has a pretty good article regarding Fiji in it. It may put you in the right direction.
I am looking at booking the outrigger for my wife and two kids for June/July - from what I gather there is plenty of flat water out front and surf on the reef with more subtle waves at the nearby river mouth - although they are all tide dependent and there is a fair amount of junk at times in the river (trees and stuff).
I have also seen some deals with part holiday in Outrigger and part on Castaway island which looks really good but no surf.

I stayed with Warren at Safari Lodge last October. He has all the set up for a great kite trip, support boats, staff, gear etc. Basic accomodation on a small island off the mainland, it was a great getaway. I think he is also now a cabrinha test centre. cheers
The Aussie Kiteboarder mag, should be in the news agents very soon if not already. You can't miss it, some guy charging massive Teahupoo on the front cover.
