I noticed a couple of guys surfing these down at our Mid Coast the other day and was wondering whether it would be possible to use them for kitesurfing?
Initial thoughts is that it would be hard to stop yourself from "sliding" downwind at a great rate of knots!

That is a really weird design...your best is to give it a shot!

I created one Alaias with sparp rails and it tracks upwind better than anything and really awesome for lightwind!

It would be nice if you are not fancy in getting fancy with changing fins whch happens when you do have a board with plugs...which for sure change the board a lot!

Hope it is good! Any videos of the board?

no reason you couldn't kite with it. it probably goes upwind easier than a wakeskate or a finless twintip.
is edging a board a forgotten skill already? am i that old?

Skim board with floatation. (I think)

Nobile skim wave/infinity or such as in a surfboard with small kite fins.

Might be okay in light winds, but try holding an edge when it's cranking, or try one of those nice long drawn-out bottom turns (didn't see it in the video) and you will end up somewhere where you were not expecting.

Not to take it away from being innovative, It could be lots of fun in small waves and light wind.

Horses for courses....

One spun out dude !

I reckon a bit of vertigo after 3 spins

Great for weedy days, to avoid those annoying clogged fins
