hey guys,
Whatever happened to Flash! I remember seeing him in all the early videos. I know he is not everyones cup of teas, however back in the day he made the sport look easy. Does anyone know if he still rides or in affiliated with the sport anymore. I am just bored at work and i thought i would throw it out there!

Ahhh Flash Austin now that takes me back. I remember his kickass website back in late 2000.

The editorial in Kite Boarder mag had a big mention of Flash.
He is out at Kite Beach Maui everyday riding a 12m C while everyone else is on 9m hybrids.
He cruises around and boosts big, floaty slow rotation 720s and lands them all silky smooth.
He is pretty much out of the spot light but still getting wet everyday and leaving the water with a big smile on his face.
I had a Naish Flash Austin TT when I was learning and never had a clue what it meant.

Flash is definately still riding. He was out on Maui in June while I was there, boosting massive and performing multiply spins with pin point accuracy. The guys a legend, and was a major step in the progression of the sport. When you look back at what he could do on those old kites (2000 models) it's amazing, he would ride like a 15.5 AR5 in 25+ knots and boost huge doing 7s, 9s and reverse/unwinds.
He a bit of a bizzar person, but rips as a kiter.
I've heard he rides every day still.

i still remember watching him in the power zone. He just really stood out at the time. Nice to hear he is still ripping in his own way.
