From FredBGG on kiteforum.com
The kite is nice and fast. Fast turning even when depowered, despite me having the kite on hard steering setting that is the slowest turning setting.

It was also REALY GUSTY and I was at "the summer kite getto" between Nicolas Canyon and Leo Carrillo in Malibu.
To give you an idea of how unstable the wind was look close at 01:04. There is a yellow kite that
inverted reversed, re-inverted and hit the water.
The same day I dragged in a windsurfer that had a damaged sail.

Here is the video... (I'm no Ben Wilson ...... ) Also still recovering from a leg injury so I was taking it easy on the bottom carves.

that is incredibly lame. was there any point to posting it?
is it supposed to be a pimp for flysurfer? if so shouldn't it be in the gear review section?

No one forced you to watch it Stamp, or waste your time making a pointless post, lighten up, whatever.

Its not a review, its repost of an ordinary persons experience with the kite. Some people had posted that they thought the kite was unstable, and the clip proves that it is not and will be of general interest to forum readers who like foils.

Last time I checked you were not in charge either.

lol.
If it is a pimp vid for Flysurfer....
it's not a very good one.
It instantly put me to sleep.
It doesn't make me rush out to buy a doona.
I think the real motive for posting such a lame arse vid is so KP can view his avatar in the authors column.
Any lame vid will do.

Geez we do need some wind don't we.
It is obviously not a real Flysurfer pimp vid or it would have more action, someone who could really shred the waves, music and bells and whistles.
I don't see what is wrong with posting it, perhaps it could be in the review section but then again it isn't a review either.
I have never flown a foil and am quite happy with the kites that I have, however I like to see other kites in action and keep up to speed with what is out there so watched it with interest (well ok I started out with a just a little bit and lost that by halfway through) but hey it was my choice.

The Industry always wants to turn the forum into its own private flea-market.
Remember...
For every pimp and brand-whore posting on the forum....
there are trolls and axegrinders at the ready.
Pimp at your own peril.
Let the BS freely flow, it's funny when it explodes into a sh1tstorm.

What did I ever do to you Stamp? Did I kill your cat or something?
No?, then why waste your time stalking me on the forum?

You call me the pimp and that makes you one of the main axegrinders on here.
Forgive and forget mate, whatever it is that you think I did in the past, that is so bad that you feel compelled to keep making all of us relive it - just let it go hey?

If I actually did something, hell, I'm sorry.

If all I did was live and breathe some of your air, run my business, sponsor this site, or make a joke you did not like, or even sell a product that turned out to be a flop (not the first or last one in the kite game) then refund everyone that bought one, well, go and get in the farque.

Surely we are both just windjunkies and can overlook minor stuff and see the big picture of sharing the stoke and keeping it real?
United we stand divided we fall!!!!

Gmorning all lol,

Yeah I know the weather is crap today, I spent yesterday kiting with 10 knots of wind instead of the 15/20 predicted I did get some helmet cam footage of the day and happy to post it and this brings me to my point.

Where do I post it? currently there doesn't seem to be a video section on seabreeze.

Would that have made a difference?. This is hardly what I would call a factory video, but it is raining, and I will take what I can get today even if its watching stuff on the net. :)

Ok so KP posted the vid, but I have also viewed this vid on 4 other forums on the net so far and non have had such an adverse reaction to the person that posted it except for here.

Its not supposed to be a promo video, its somebody with a handy cam (we should all be so lucky to have somebody filming us for momento value)

Also not all videos are going to be Revolve either so I guess watch at your peril.

So my question is this.

Would it have made a difference if it was posted by somebody else (eg the flyer in the video) or another random and peoples objection to this thread is that it was KP and people jumped on the pimping band wagon?

Bring on spring, we need a few good sessions!

:)

I should have bought my "link" from KP then!
I may have gotten some money back when it was decided it was a flop!

Refunded people that had dud kites you say! Some distributors/importers should take note of your great example Steve.

But I don't think they will.
