Notice one for sale on Seabeeze - contact the seller for help. Also go to www.flysurfer.com and look under "support - support archive" and you can download a manual there.
Take care to look over lines and bridle, lines might have stretched or shrunk, you can also get the exact line lengths for each line from the website. The kites also benefit from a wash with Nikwax Tech wash and then Nikwax TX Direct washin to clean and waterproof back to like new.
You might even cross over to the dark side. Good luck.

Hey Lotowind go here download the manual

http://www.flysurfer.com/Content/232/?mnid=708

google flysurfer on utube plenty of instructional vids on that.

The Warrior is a low aspect flysurfer that has been overtaken by the Speed/pulse/pshycos. It does turn slow compared to todays kites but for $100 it should be an eye opener for you.

The safety system is awesome even by todays standards. The Kite has a huge windrange and big depower. As with all Flysurfers. Ther is a quick release on the chicken loop.

Whilst flying your kite (Low winds to start with) unhook the bar and throw it away, the kite will land directly downwind with mimimal pull. If it lands leading edge down it will automatically reverse up off the beach/water and land trailing edge down. Pull in the safety line which is attached to you, grab the left and right outside lines in one hand (this stops the kite powering up and lifting) hook in to the chicken loop let go of outside lines and sheet out. The kite will raise to zenith and your away.

It does take some time to master and once done it is very easy.

cheers wrex,
I have downloaded the the manual.Did you use to fly one?
What is the wind range in your opinion? The website wind range on the 7m seems to contradict what other people have told me.
Hows the depower?

Never flew the warrior so can't give much else help. Flysurfer wind range seems to start for snow so discount the low end range by 4 - 5 knots generally for water use.
I recommend you search on www.foilzone.com and there'll probably be postings for the warrior. If you really like the kite, then try also the new Flysurfer Pulse 2 or Pyscho 4 that's just out.

Yes my first kite was a warrior 9.3m. I learn't on a 4 line inflatable with a reel bar.

Before safety was an issue so was drawn to the Flysurfer. My instructor was also the importer so was able to demo one.

The wind range on my 9.3m was 13-30knots I am 92kg on a 132 twintip in heavy winds and a 138 in lighter winds. The depower is big on these kites. If it is a little underpowered for you add 3m extension lines for a bigger power stroke works well but slows steering even more.

See Ian youngs website for tips and splicing lines. Ian is the WA importer and uses them extensively.

I still have my original Warrior + another near new one as a backup kite. I now have a 10m Pulse2 after flying my LEI Best nemisis kites for a year. I just feel more comfortable with the Foils.

Another 6 pack and just bought a 16.5m warrior($99.99) to go with the 7m
(note to self...read last note to self about ebay and beers.dont mix em)
I imagin the old girl will turn ultra slow by the new flysurfer standards but I guess better than sitting on the beach when its only 12 knots.
Ive heard Mr Ian Young is the man in the know about Flysurfers, what can you tell me about these old girls mate? ie wind range, depower, tips on tunning to get the most out of the kite(mods),saftey system.
Im 78kg,ride 133x140 TT and 5'9 surfboard.
Usually fly venom2 13m.

Yeah 16.5m Warrior is a powerful semi-trailer of a kite - slow turning with limited depower - but at least she'll relaunch quick & easy in >= 5 knots and will get you going when everyone else is still sitting on the beach.

Some tips can be found at http://members.iinet.net.au/~ianyoung/FS_tips.html
