I know the forecast looks pretty promising for the event. well the winds will be strong at least, but because of that low up north, and the approaching trough, it looks to be a weekend of south, SSE and SE winds.

will the direction be an issue (ie cross-off), or is the angle of the coast going to allow kiting in these winds... Yes im a born and bred West Aussie, and No I havent been to Geraldton. ...yet.

The back beach, were the main event happens, actually faces WSW so a normal SSW is quite onshore. Therefore I would think that a SSE would be sweeeetttt!!!!

That right it and its going to blow its ass day and night as it is now. Its a steady 33kn out there now now I'm leaving it to the poleys today after copping a kitemare yesterday after 2hrs of wave riding with no one around in sub 30 kn I had to cut my 7m's lines of at the kite to save a seeweed monster in the shore break from eating it. Got the bar back with 200kg of seaweed, then the kite blew of down that deserted beach after all the sand blew off it,into the scrub and sandhills.No damage.LOL
