Sunday 27 Feb 10am – 1 pm
@ Scarborough - South Brighton Beach BBQ Park (behind Roc’s Café)

Get even more out of your FlySurfer or if you’ve never flown one - broaden your horizons and come and see for yourself how good these kites really are!

Sausage sizzle, bread rolls & salad provided free (BYO drinks –please don’t drink and fly)

Meet fellow FlySurfer lovers, share tips and make some new friends

Clinic will include:
  • Launch and landing techniques

  • Self recovery techniques

  • Modifications to your gear (PSS, RKL, trim strap on Warrior/ Maniac, harness mods, suicide leashes, line extensions, etc)

  • WAC explained

  • Splicing lines

  • Using your kite with a DirtSurfer, buggy, ATB, skis and/or snowboard

  • Free safety inspection

  • Q&A

Test fly the new Extacy

If the winds on, you’re intermediate or better and it’s not too crowded - go for a kite afterwards

Bring your partner and kids (playground in the park)

Cheers,
Ian Young

Yes Damo, anyone is welcome ... even you ... if you want to learn more about FlySurfers that is

The FlySurfer SPEED is still a prototype that I am still testing - needs more tuning before letting it loose on the general public

Free food ... until it runs out ... priority to those who already fly FlySurfers [}:)]

Yes the BBQ & Clinic will still be on - if there's no wind I will still be running through the theory of things we can't practise as well as practical of mods, laying the Extacy out so that people can at least see what the diffences are, etc.

If no wind we can have a swim then a beer as well but the current BoM forecast is "Sunday: Mainly fine. Min: 16 Max: 27. W/SW winds 10/15 knots increasing SW 15/20 knots during the afternoon" - sounds perfect to me!

We will start at 10am so don't be late and miss out on valuable info - I won't be running through stuff a second time for late-comers.

Cya Sunday

Forecast is good for today "W/SW winds 10/15 knots increasing to S/SW 18/23 knots during the afternoon."

Cya down @ Scarbs :-)

PS: There's a few give-aways (t-shirts, caps, key chains) for those that rock up on time!

Thanks for the barbie Ian and Sue.
Very informative session and good to see the flysurfer's take over Scab's even if just for a few hours.

My thanks as well Ian,

I have to say there was nothing sweeter than at about 1pm, 6 (by my count) flysurfers launching at scabs. A truly beautiful sight

Having a frienly crew around gave me the confidence to try out the ocean in perth - having never ventured from the river until today. Although the chop (if you can call it that?) was pretty gnarly, I had an abosolute ball. Will definitely be returning to the coast for a few more sessions.

Cheers,
A

Thanks a LOT, Ian & Sue,

Very informative and very pleasant.

The dirt surfer stuff was pretty cool too.

Thanks again,

Fred

damn wish I saw that thread back in febuary!! I need advice on how to keep my 65kg body on the ground while flying my 15.5m Titan
I've tried eating lots of lard and flying in light winds but I still seem to get launched!
