The whole WA coast becomes one great place to kite as the Summer begins. The Seabreeze, which is what we are all hanging out for should be hitting Perth in the next few weeks. I have just come back from Shark Bay, and it is excellent flat water kiting right off the town site. During the Summer though, you will want to kite south of Geralton though as it is too hot up north, and the winds are very strong. Check out Lancelin and Cervantes as you head south.

Hey Marc,
Nick's right, we've just come back from Exmouth and Coral Bay and it is awesome for kiting up there. In fact there are exclusive camping spots in the national park at Exmouth where you can rig your kite next to your tent and kite in the most beautiful water you have ever seen. Beautiful clear water, sandy beaches, easy launch, flat and waves, warm and windy, but wont be for much longer. Too hot after about mid December and too windy oh and fuel is $1.57 a litre Yikes!
Good winds

hello,
thanks for your comments.
i usuaslly stay at coro but with their new regulations it makes
long time stay a little more difficult.
i go there anyway until end of jan but after, i wanted to check
something different.
point moore is not so nice after all, being quickly too crowded
and very choppy when the wind is strong.
thanks again

Doing a drive up the coast from Perth to MMia.
Doing Lancelin, Cervantes,Geraldton then Denham for a couple days before heading back down.
Is it possible to leave Geraldton at say 10:00am and get to Denham in time for an afternoon kite in the summer? With or without a couple of stops at Kalbarri for the wife to take pictures of the coastal cliffs? Just trying to get my plans decided on where I will be at the end of each day.

Gero to Denham is min. 4 hrs. Reckon the photo stops would be a tad marginal unless you start out earlier.
Denham rocks - what an awesome kite site. Seaside Village van park has to be one of the best there is anywhere and it is right on the beach.
