Spent the Chrissy/new years break up at Port Stephens and had the best dozen sessions that I've ever had.
The wind most days was good and the swell was not one of those "Beach Breaks" that ripps ya!
Had a few of us kiting there and never had any issues with tangles or over-crowding.
And even though there was a spit load of people on the beach, we were able to keep well-away from 'em. Which obviously kept the lifeguards happy.
I have found that with the right equipment and a few helpfull pointers from other kiters, I have progressed happily and safely. From the point that only 8 weeks ago wanting to give up....to now loving it, upwinding and trying some basic moves(somewhat unsuccessfully) but trying!!

Hey..... ya gotta love this sport!!
Why is it so friggin addictive? We should keep it underwraps, 'cause if the Gov't finds out it will be contrabanned!! Well all other addictive drugs are banned rnt they!! sex will be next .

Tell me about it , their is only a hanfull of kiters that kite up there and they have it made.Theres not many places where you can kite any wind direction within a ten minute drive and the kiting locations are second to none , I will certainly be going back there.

I watched a kiter kite over from Hawkes Nest to Nelsons Bay kite the sandbars in the middle of the Bay and then kited back to Hawkes Nest sensational but all done with a boat of course because if it goes wrong your ****ed.

Cant wait to get back there.
