Saturday: SW winds 15/20 knots easing by afternoon then shifting S/SE at 20/25 knots after dark.

Predictions getting worse as it usually does... Thats the BOM for you lol...

Saturday: SW winds 15/20 knots easing by afternoon. Winds shifting NE/NW at 10/15 knots before a 15/20 knot S/SE change in the evening. Seas to 1 metre in open waters. A late shower.

Thanks for all those who came today. It was fantastic to see so many windsurfers gathering together. Thanks for the Gold Coast crowd (Simon x 2, haircut a couple others) who came all the way up. Pity the redbull girls didnt turn up, but the gang there (40-50?) had a great time and made a few friends. Should do it again soon ;) Thanks for your support Laurie for posting the event in the banner! The sport just got better because of you!

I'm sure we all met some new faces, managed to put seabreeze usernames to actual names and faces, and apart from the gusty winds for the first hour, it leveled off pretty well for the last 2 hours.

As Padi said, top job to Lozza for adding this event as a banner on the Brisbane graphs page. Thanks to everyone who brought their gear along to sell, or for the huge turnout! Especiall those kiters who travelled from the Goldy, and from the Northside. Wish I'd taken some photos to post up here, but next time an event like this is organised, we'll get some pics.
