Hey ladies,
Buying a harness for my gf.
Personally I much prefer a Waist harness, but my bits are much different to your bits (I'm told). So what do you prefer using girls, seat or waist?
Any advice would be a massive help,
I know I should take her to a kiteshop but wanted to surprise her
Cheers!

Try both it really depends on your shape.

I tell my students, Seat harness when learning and waist harness when experanced and for a short session.

Long session seat harnesses hurt a lot less.

Christelle tried both and she ended up with a seat harness, this is what happens most of the time.

again depends on you body shape.

90% of the girls coming through the shop go for a waist now... All the major harness brands have worked out how to keep them from riding up, and they are super comfy even for long sessions.

Make sure you get a girls specific one, and make sure you get the right size, if in doubt, I'd go for a size smaller than you think as the chicks harnesses tend to be big for their sizes. If it's the wrong size, any decent shop will let you swap it afterwards as long as she hasn't used it.

Ones i'd recommend are the Mystic Warrior 2 (make sure it's the Girls version) - and the Mystic Hypnotize if you wanna spend a bit less, or want a softer harness.

even half an hour is not enough... i'd say you need to test for at least 2 full sessions before you can make a comitment. Also it depends on the riders skills heaps.

from what i've seen (including personal experience), most people that switched from seat to waist harness never looked back (including me). I initially thought i'd keep my seat harness and use it every second session to let my back rest... but i never used it afterwards. In the end it all depends on her style of riding - whether she wants to push the limits, or just sit in a chair and go for a cruise.

speaking of different bits, if anything, girls should (generally) have less problems with waist harness riding up
