An update in brief for interested Gold Coast kiters unable to be in attendance at last evenings meeting (or for those who imbibed a few too many)

A social club has been formed and the election for office bearers and committee members held. With the results as follows;

President - Gene
Vice President - Ian
Treasurer - Tobes

Committee - Steve

Feedback was given regarding the Maritime Safety Report on kiteboarding at Currumbin Alley. The general consensus from attendees was to continue with our self-imposed moratorium on the Currumbin Alley as a no kite zone. This is being done as a gesture of goodwill toward the powers that be, in an effort to demonstrate our ability to self regulate until a clearer picture of our rite to use this area emerges.

The next meeting is slated for the evening of Tuesday 31-01-06 at a venue yet to be confirmed.
