hello hillsy,
well, the goldy is a pretty good to hang out at and a fair few like minded people kite here and enjoy the sea breezes, beach and point breaks and white sandy beaches.
when you get here, a stop at any of the kite spots (narrowneck, palm beach, loders creek, shearwater) will unearth a clan of enthusiasts willing to chat for fkn hours about all things kitey.

look forward to seeing your white pasty mug!
best regards ian.

Also due to the airline carriers baggage restrictions i am contemplating bringing just one of my quiver... the 9m or the 12m i am very light maybe 58kg and have a small board but will buy a surfboard in oz for surfing and maybe some unstrapped fun. I am flying into Brisbane in mid Jan (all booked) so please help a fellow kiter, plus you must feel sorry for me after the ashes lol.....

Hillsy888 (re gold coast conditions) I would recommend your 9m if you are going to pickup a surf board as well as bring your twin tip... I use 12 metre consistently all thru summer and I'm 85kg so I assume at 58kg you will be planning on our normal seabreeze....

enjoy your stay!

Make a plan and bring both kites if at all possible - even post one out if that is what is takes....at least that way you have more options.

Hi. Im a lightass to and ride a 13m 04 slingy most of the time, but will get on my 9m over about 22knts. i ride a 126 twintip. Around Feb we get bigger swells 2-3m and southeries 15-25knts, but this season in Oz is a little wierd at the moment so i'd be bringing both.

anyone got anymore specific info about any of the spots on the goldy, maybe such as the area they are in, any dodgy animals in the water, whether they have sketchy launch or not etc. Cheers HAPPY XMAS its cold here so looking forward to warming up in 3 weeks!!
