Anyody got tips on some Good Spots to Kitesurf in the Gold Coast near Broadbeach? Also are there any Kite Shops close to this area? Im going for a 1 week holiday there. Any help is greatly appreciated!!!

Hey Uber, if your after flat water on the GC try Loders Creek Southport (15 mins by car North from Broady)or Shearwater Park Runaway Bay (20mins North from Broady), good in NE or SE winds or you can kite anywhere along broadbeach in the surf. Usually anything with a little bit of Easterly in it is best.
I'm kiting if there's wind everyday after 12pm, so pm me if you want someone to kite with.

If the wind is southerly you will find Loders turns bad, it is 2 protected. Shear water works well on the southerly even if it has a little bit of west in it(not to much but). You need to time it with the tide, once the income starts you need some decent wind to stay upwind. Watch out on the outgoin tide but cause if it is really moving and the wind is strong you can loose your board. Try your stuff near the beach!

If the tide is coming in you can ride opp sea world but it is not a good newbe spot. You can get lifted of the beach into the carpark. The wind seems to hit the beach and then lift a bit so wait till you got a handle the sport before trying it
