Doing a quick dash up to the Goldcoast for a few days next week. A few questions....
* What are the winds like, i.e. is it worth taking a kite up there at this time of the year?
* Are there any restrictions. Staying in a hotel that fronts on to Coolangatta beach... can you kite there, or is it like a zillion people on the beach?

Cheers

rodley,
bring your kit, you never know how good it might be.
not traditionally a windy month but the waters clear and 20 degrees and if it breezes it's magic.
coolie is great on westerly winds which we often get in july and if it's windy the sunbakers bugger off, only the topless beach volleyballers remain.
regards greenleader.

Not sure if the hotel would be big or windy enough to kite inside of. Maybe a trainer kite?

Seriously, bring your kite, if you can believe the hallucinations that are the long range forecast then you'll get some good southerlies.
