Here's a big shout out to Shan Ducker who is making an assault on the PKRA event in Gold Coast this week coming.

For those who don't know, Shan is a wee ripper who mainy freestyles and took 2nd place behind Chrissy in last years open womens national titles in Melbourne in a very close call. Impressive when you consider Shan is a busy mum of two great kids, a wife to Nate and also a business owner so she doesn't get half the time on the water that other riders do.

Shan is sponsored by AKS, Ozone, Cardboards and Mystic and rides Ozone C4's, Cardboards FR 128 and is determined to have fun and represent West Oz in grand style. Go Girl! We know you'll do us proud.

We wish her and Chrissy and all the other WA and Australian riders good winds and heaps of luck.

Finally had wind yesterday and got through heaps of heats. I won my first heat and then was up against gisella (world champ) - she is really sweet and only 16! (I'm 34  with two kids under 5 years so I'm very happy with my result) I landed everything accept one trick but had no chance against her amazing tricks. I also had a good wave heat considering conditions and my lack if time spent on a surfboard. I got quite a few waves riding both natural and goofy.
Hopefully we get more wind to get full results for freestyle and wave heats but the forecast isn't looking good.
I'm missing all my boys at home and our consistent perth winds but  still having a fantastic time chilling out and socializing with the worlds best kiters :)

You've done yourself and WA Proud! How awesome to say you went up against Gisela, whether you got beaten or not is irrelevent, what a great experience.

Congratulations on your great results. Enjoy the rest of the comp. Can't wait to hear all about it......
