I am a 100 kg, 42 yr old granny that is new to kite surfing (hope i got someone's attention!)
I have my first lesson next week but couldn't wait and just had to buy some gear on ebay yesterday. I have spent hrs researching and checking windranges on different models and think I have a kit now that will be good to learn on but don't yet know enough to be sure so would appreciate some feedback from other kiters.
In one package I bought the following;
Fone twin tip board in resonable condition (147 cm - is this big enough?).
Fuel slingshot bars with lines.
2005 13m fuel slingshot 4 line kite with no damage, no repairs. excellent condition.
Dakine sit in Harness,(brand new) never been used. Size is L but I'm thinking I'll need an XL.

No lines, just kite and bag in this purchase and I am wondering if I will be able to use the lines from the other kite above?

- I have surfing, skateboarding, skiing experience (quite a while ago tho)but will board be large enough?
- can I use Fuel bar/lines with Cabrinha kite? (or is this a silly idea?)
PS - will be learning around Botany so watch out!
