Good kiteing spots on rottnest island

G'day Guys

Im going over to Rottnest over the weekend, and hopefully will get some kiteing in. What are the good spots, if any on Rottnest..

yes me to but i think you would just go around the island depending on the wind direction............
and then i the swell jacks up transit reef would be good

was there at easter. biked it all the way out to samon bay which is good but i was the only one on the water all afternoon so was feeling pretty isolated. you can catch the bus but the last one back to the settlement is about 5 so you need to be off the water and packing up too early

kited natural jetty the next day and had some company there but the other guy was kiting the offshore side where i had a kitemare last year so i stayed on the onshore side. wind dropped out suddenly and the guy on the offshore side ended up on phillip rock!!!!

bottom line. prefer samon bay but it's a fkn long way on a bike with all yer gear!

was there in January, kited the bay at end of Kingstown Barracks (too far to pedal to Salmon Bay)
Was on my own but had a good time in S/SW winds. Beach is a bit narrow but still OK for self launch/land. Reasonably flat water in behind the reef, better waves past it
