Here's the highlights of the footage I got on Sunday before the batteries ran out and I had to go for a kite myself. Not sure who is who in some of the shots so apologies to uncredited riders.

Maaaate, that is one cool vid! You nailed it!

It'll be on my 'puter for a long time.
Nice one. Was a great day. Never seen the pros live before let alone in such full-on conditions. Blew me away.

Great Vid.

Cheers Andy.

Very well done to all the actors........it was a magic Sunday. Good capture.

High winds, in and amongst the waves and reef....big skill needed here and they all had it....wow.

Send that to the local news to show.

Herbert is my fav....kite loop with handle pass in 30 knots.

Thanks for the comments glad you liked it... I wanted to make the file size smaller but it didn't compress very well, the image quality is pretty poor as it is at 27MB.

I am on lowly dial up myself... the DV AVI was 700MB. If I get some time I might re-jig a hi res version. I stopped editing it when I saw the compressed image quality wasn't going to be that hot.

Hi Andy

Loved the video man.

If you like, drop in a DVD or bring your laptop into my office in QV.1. We host the WAKSA.org.au website and I can just load it up for you across the network if you like. <Jan can then test drive his broadband link and download the 700 MB> Seriously though, a few of us do have good bandwidth and at work we host quite a few servers specifically doing this sort of thing. Give me a ring if you want to organise it.

Hey Andy,

That video is so hot. You should be making them for a living! Perhaps you could put some of your other shorts up like "H.P" and really blow people away. You have an amazing talent and it is a shame it goes unnoticed. If anyone has contacts in the movie world tell em that Andy is the next big thing! They won’t be disappointed.

KiteCrazzy,
Are you gathering info to get kiting banned?
First you ask for a video showing kiting as dangerous, Then in a different post you start a topic asking if there is anyone who has not injured themselves. which will get everyone to tell you about how they were hurt or nearly hurt. Are you working undercover for some council to get kiting removed from somewhere?

I don't think he'll have much luck getting it banned.... more chance of being hit by a car, struck by lightening or eaten alive by a shark !

I needed some thing for the "risks involved" section of my project.
Don’t worry only a handful or students and some random guy in Scotland will see it, anyway how could you even think i want my addiction banned.
**** there on to me :)
