WAKSA have been asked to nominate 4 judges and AKSA to nominate another 2 from Interstate, the most experienced will be nominated as the head judge. The organisers have given AKSA funds to pay for the interstate judges travel to WA.

If you are interested in becoming a judge for this event or know of someone suitable that might be, please get them to send an expression of interest to [email protected] or [email protected] (as applicable) - the selection process is up to the Associations but it is expectation of the organizers is that it will be objective, transparent and accountable – please include a summary of judging experience in your email.

Judges will be paid $200 each and will be required to attend a half-day seminar on Wed 13 Oct. Other interested parties are more than welcome to attend this seminar (nil cost) – just email me if you want to attend well before hand – positions will close 29 Sep or earlier if over-subscribed.

We are also after three kiters to work full-time to help setup, pull down, act as beach marshals, competitor relations officer, time keeper and scorers. They will be required for 6 days (13 -18 Oct) and will be paid $600. Please email me if you're interested.

If anyone would like to volunteer for unpaid part-time help on any particular day we'd love to hear from you too :-)

Cheers,
Ian Young

Maybe you could ask Graeme from Choice Kitesurfing? I thought he did a
great job of announcing at the Jurien comp a while back.

The organisers (Octagon) are looking for some drivers to do airport transfers etc for athletes and officials. The work pays - not sure on rates.

Anyone interested should contact Tim Thirsk on [email protected] or 0407 993 720 ASAP

you can hire these people at the airport, they have mini buss's and trailers, they specialize in this stuff.

If you've never dropped your kite, your not trying hard enough !
To hear your knee go POP ruins a kite trip !

just back from another trip away - not too many volunteer offers ???
I cant commit to definate days but hoping to be there everyday and more than happy to help out when I am. Will find you on the beach.
Email or phone if there is anything you are really having trouble covering.
Wouldn't stress too much ! Im sure there will be lots of other locals to happy to be roped in once they're there.
