Great to see Wa represented by minimum of three kiteboarders in gravity games. Well done!.

Is this a mens event only? Why no female kiteboarders?

There are 4 WA kiters competing that have been nominated by WAKSA: Dan Anderson (withdrawn due to injury), Jake Gordon, Andy Cooksey Ryland Blakeney, and Adam Ratajewski.

AKSA nominated Rich Stenning, Stui Martin, Julian Kidd and Ben Wilson (no longer available) - awaiting advice of Ben's replacement.

There will possibly more Aussies if all the International slots aren't filled. I believe that Aaron Hadlow is the only one confirmed at this stage.

The organisers (Octagon) decided that this year there would not be a women's comp because they did not want to bite off more than they could chew. The WA Govt signed a contract with Gravity Games USA for the event in 2004 at a less than optimum time of year :-( There is a very real possibility that wind availability may mean that we may not even be able to run a full double elimination draw for the men!

Cheers,
Ian Young
