Heres the solution.
Live in some of the best kiting locations WA has to offer.
3 years in Shark Bay, a year in sunny Exmouth and then move to the next location which will be Lancelin next month.
Organise your job around your lifestyle which is right next to the beach. Have a sensational partner who loves the beach and BINGO, kite every day.
If your on the beach its not difficult to duck off for a couple hours and kite, surf, fish, etc.
Its all about the lifestyle, good luck.

Hey Greenpat.......at the time of your offer I did have prior commitments which have now been washed away with the tide and right now I'm extremely happy and content doing my own thing and being single . . . . . . I'm on vacation from relationshipville for a while haha!!

Anyhow, I should probably clairfy why I put this thread on. Over the past few months I've been in contact with several surfing mums in Queensland, California and LA who have inspired both Terri and I to see if it might be something we can encourage and support in the kiting world.

This kind of social, sporting group would not only offer support to the kiting mums, but possibly to those who don't kite but their partners do......they will have a group to socialise with at the beach whilst the other is on the water, if they want to. Our list of female kiters now covers all of Oz, NZ, France, Dubai, UK and LA......quite a few of these being mums or mums to be.

So this thread was to find out how everyone copes with having a kiting or non-kiting partner to see if our idea could work.

I'm single and there is only one reason for it. I'm active and sporty finding a girl who really enjoys the same life style is hard. maybe one day, No green card needed

I know a guy who "stalked" a friend of mine for several months....she gave in and they've been together ever since. Not sure what would happen if she broke up with him though considering the kind of persistence he had just to get her !

two kids at home and a redhead wife who hates being in the summer sun.. means it's all about the balance. Good tip no 1 ; I bought a cheap $20 water proof watch which I can wear while kiting .. now I always know if I have to head home, or better yet if I've still got time to kite. Nothing worse than packing up too early, racing home from a blistering session and she says
"what are you doing here" when you walk in the door.
I also changed jobs - knock off time 3.00
and make a big effort to do something 'special ' in the hours when there's no wind ie. breakfast in the park or mind the kids so she can do some thing by herself.
my boys are ages 4 and 6 and they already know that they'll be kitesurfing when they're old enough. ( how old can you start to learn...?)
