Green Island seems to be 20 knots + all day every day, has anybody ever kite surfed there, Im heading to cairns in a August, I heard Port Douglas is o.k

Green is a great place to kite and if there is any wind forecast it is the most reliable and consistent place up here. Problem is that it will cost about $50- to get there. You also need a highish tide, anything above a 1.5m tide is good, anything less is too shallow and you will cut yourself up on the reef.

Port is great as is Yorkey's, and the locals are friendly regardless of what some folk here have said.

Dont come up till August there's been no f*#kin' wind in Cairns for weeks and the outlook is not good.
