Hello FNQ Kiters
I will be in Cairns next week for work, and have organised to be free on Friday - Sunday.
As far as I can tell from reading the forums here, the wind at Yorkies has been below par thus far this season. Therefore I am planning on doing a couple of day trips to Green Island on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
I know Green Island is tide dependent. However as far as I can tell the tide will be > 1.2 metres during next weekend, which is as good as you could hope for.
I understand that Great Adventures do the ferry trips.
Are any of you locals planning on a day trip next weekend? It would be great if I could hook up with someone already going. It's just a bit better and safer with someone who knows the area.
Please let me know. PM me if you want to.

Yorkies has been quite good for the past week but really hasn't got above 18 knots. Looking at the forecast for next weekend, Green will be going off. At this stage it looks like a strong wind warning will be forecast so expect 25 to 30 knots. The tides also look good, so you will be able to kite all day.
Great adventures are the company to travel with.
Yorkies should be good as well.
Let me know if I can further assist.
cheers
