Tried helping out a few young newbies yesterday. First thing was to grab my pump to try to turn the slug that was slewing across the beach into a leading edge - they had used a lilo foot pump to get 3lb in
Damned if I didnt blow the whole show apart at about 5.5lbs
Left the poor guys with no kite how bad do I feel
The kite was a converted old 2 line 7M that someone had 'sold' them for several $100 not very long ago
Thought of lending them mine for the day but they hadnt ever had lessons so didnt think I was really feeling ALL THAT bad.
I would like to try and help them out though. I dont think they have wads of cash so thinking now if anyone has a SAFE old kite laying round they dont want (or perhaps for $100) if you ring me I'll pick it up and get it to them - on the condition that they are prepared to pay for at least 3 lessons.
Fix my guilty conscience & get them going safely.
Any offers welcome - phone me anytime 0400 227 296

Wow man you did good. You did the right thing, they were lucky they got that much. Some guys over here would have told them to get off the beach untill they have had lessons. I at least give them a free intro lesson first before telling them to get off the beach and go get a lesson. You probably saved them serious injury so stop putting your self through this pain. My friend got a wipika kite 2003 brand knew with bar and lines $700 (awesome) from some mob in the states realkite.com i think. Tell them to get on the net, give them some good advice on good kite and board type, ph no for lessons and part as friends

I have a 2002 Naish AR5, 9m that can be used as a 2 line or 4 line.

These guys can have the kite, bag and a pump for $100. I'll keep the lines as spare for my other kites.

Give me a call on 0422 472 943.

Cheers
