Logged on today expecting a few psotings about the first good sea breezes in Perth over the w/end but it's a desert in here.

Didn't anyone get out and get off?

We went to Coronation Bay. First time. Great place.
Was a solid 25kn on GF day. 12m around midday, then tuned into Roy & HG for the game, and flew the 9.5 afterwards.

Great set up there, reef outside with waves, flat water inside. Lots of wind ****ers, but they mostly stay in the waves.

Sunday was around 22kn, really nice. Weather was superb the whole time.

Monday headed south to Green head and had some fun there in about 18kn. Good set up again, slightly choppy but a big big area of flattish water, again with a reef way outside, and a big point wrapping around down wind which is a nice safety net.

Only problem was the piles of stinking sea weed on the beach. Hard to rig up when you're dry retching.

Mint weekend! I'm still recovering.

Share the joy.

G'day ben...

First time kitin on monday, bout 12knts then picked up to bout +/- 15. I was at tompkins park/lucky bay and were bout 10 kiters there throughout the arvo, my mate said it was a bit of a tease as the wind was pretty gusty and inconsistent, but for me, perfect and am keen as to hit it again!!!

That's my weekend, but what about this weather....september is a kuck month!!!! C'mon summer show us ur're here to stay...stop teasin us!!

Few guys out at Leighton, mainly Sunday arvo. Good consistent breeze ~20kts. Friday arvo was the pick, especially at Woodies.

hi ben.
good sesh on Sat at woodies on my 12m. (im not into the Footy so had the place to myself for a while!)

felt pretty battered after the first sesh of the year. Tried at leighton on monday on a 16m. not quite there but it came in late in the arvo so had a mini sesh at south beach freo, which i think was a bit naughty, certainly the first time ive been out there. not ideal. There are no signs banning watersports on dog beach but maybe someone can shed light on that ? i wont be going out there again anyways as woodies is pretty close.

good to get out. bit rusty but landed most stuff. come on the doctor!

Hey Free Fly Freak - Gutsy move going at South Beach! Not sure if it's banned there but would assume it is. Too mnay familes and dog walkers. Not to mention groynes and big trees.

One of my mates was at Woodies Saturday, not a footy fan either. He woulda been flying a grey/white/yellow Cabrinha 12m, he's got a pony tail and was on the flat side, he was lovin it.

Galajoh - Hey mate, where is Lucky Bay? Gusty is a bit of a bummer. It was gusty up North a bit too, but high end gusty so was going from perfect power to out of control and pulled down wind.
Spring is crazy. All over the place like a mad woman's plops. Not long now though and we'll be setting our watches byb the sea breeze every single day.

Yeah!
