I'm just learning to boost myself and from the sounds of it your leaving the kite too high for too long. Once you've got to the highest point of your jump you need to bring the kite down in the direction you want to travel. If you don't do it then your likely to just drop back into the water.
If on the other hand your just swinging under the kite without getting any lift then your probably not redirecting the kite hard enough to initiate the jump in the first place. As far as i can tell if your riding at a reasonable speed then redirect the kite back up to 12 whilst depowering; then start to progressively build an edge then pull the bar back in to power up and boost away.
For all those experts out there, feel free to correct me and give me a couple of pointers. At the moment this is kinda like the blind leading the deaf.
