That reminds me. For people doing downwinders strating at City Beach/Floreat. The other day we did a downwinder starting at city beach. The Beach inspector told us he preferred if we set up outside the groynes and do not sail close to the beach between city beach, floreat groyne. This was on a week day when very few people were about.

We now set up on the North sde of City Beach Groyne. Not as much beach as between the groyne but still plenty and an easy walk over the sand dune from the northern most carpark at city beach. Sometimes have to walk up the beach about 50 metres to get clear of the body boarders riding at the groyne.

Anyway - we have less chance of getting banned from there if we dont set up or sail between the two groynes at city beach/floreat and avoid the flaged areas at floreat.
