Hey kiting world! Just about to get off the twin tip in the waves but not sure whether to go strapped hocked or unstrapped unhooked on my surfboard?? Surfed for 10 years so not new to waves or boards but am thinking strapped hooked to begin with to get used to kiting on a surfboard?
Any advice?

there is now answer for this but the more skills you master the more options you have
some conditions dont allow for unhooking but when the conditions are right for it it is pure joy
Summary - try and master it all and you'll have more fun - simple

Some of the best wave riders on this planet ride mainly hooked and strapped....who cares as long as it looks graceful and you enjoy it...

you only ever ride unhooked when on a wave anyway. don't focus on the unhooked until you stop falling off the board. straps are evil. don't use a leggy on the beach breaks either unless its unsafe (your board will hit people) you'll eventually get so peed off with lossing it you'll stop falling off
